Bitcoin ‘Vault’ Elliptic Meets Global Auditing Standard

Digital currency storage service Elliptic has obtained ISAE 3402 accreditation– an international standard for monetary reporting– from auditing specialist KPMG.

The ISAE 3402 Type 1 or SOC1/2 evaluation scrutinises different aspects of a business, including financial controls, regulatory compliance consisting of AML and KYC measures, financial controls, code deployment, disaster recuperation, segregation of responsibilities and offline bitcoin storage methods.

The UK-based storage provider says it is the very first bitcoin company to get the accreditation which ISAE 3402 indicates that the company runs with the “very same requirements as a conventional custodian bank”.
