Bitcoin Mining Pools Attack When Threatened, Study Finds

A brand-new study paper argues that bitcoin mining swimming pools can just co-exist in harmony if individual miners regularly switch swimming pools and if pools erect adequate defenses versus attacks.

If pools do not display either of those properties, then they are responsible to assault each other, the guide finds.

The paper’s authors, Aron Laszka, Benjamin Johnson and Jens Grossklags, investigated the long-term effects of competition between bitcoin mining swimming pools in a draft version of a research labelled, ‘When Bitcoin Mining Pools Run Dry’.
