BW to Launch 14nm Chip and Miner for General Population

The quiet, behind-the-scenes juggernaut in bitcoin mining, Bi Wang (BW), is revealing the release of its 14nm chip that the business thinks is at the cutting edge of bitcoin mining equipment.

In a Bitcoin Publication special, BW was presented to the community. Now it wants impact that exact same neighborhood.

Together with the announcement of its bitcoin chip, the company has actually announced that it will be releasing a bitcoin miner for customers that will launch in Winter 2016.

“The miners are now available for pre-order at a price of 0.87 BTC with a minimum order of 333 miners which is 1 petahash,” Virgilio Lizardo Jr., Head of International at Bitbank informed Bitcoin Publication in a special interview. “This price will be available until November 11, 2015. This winter, the miners will be readily available with no minimum order needed; the price at this time has not been decided yet.”

The revelation that BW would be providing its miners to the basic population comes at a time when lots of other mining companies are bringing their products in-house to utilize for their own mining initiatives.

According to BW, each 14nm chip in the miner will have the ability to obtain anywhere from 34.6-63GH/ s. The power intake is 18W based on a voltage of 0.59 V to 0.76 V. This effectiveness comes on the back of nearly a year of research study and development. Lizardo Jr. described that the group spent 9 months coming up with the chip.

Lizardo Jr. discussed that the company’s strategies are to use the chips in two ways. The very first is in the above explained bitcoin miner. The second will be use by its own mining farm.

“BW will produce the quantity needed [in the first batch] to reach our objective of 48P [petahashes] each month at our latest mining farm presently under building,” he stated.

An additional 48 petahashes/second of computational power would account for almost 10 percent of the existing mining power readily available.

In an interview with Bitcoin Magazine when Bitmain revealed the launch of its Antminer S7, Jacob Smith, head of North America, stated, “It’s a regrettable circumstance that we’re the just big ASIC producer offering directly to customers right now; we ‘d enjoy to see more competition in this area and for the miners themselves to have more options offered.”

If BW has anything to state about it, it appears that the competition is here.
